Why have we lost faith?

As I was delivering bread to a store this morning I was causal talking to the receiver about his job. He was telling me how unhappy he was. I asked him why he didn't move on to something he would actually enjoy? He gave me all the usual excesses that we all have used, but he ended by saying that "most people" don't do a job that they really enjoy. Really? It's funny how we talk to the 100 or so people around us and think that covers "most people". At last check there is about 6.9 billion people in the world but I guess that "most of them" that are working, work jobs like his or mine. Why have we given up or lost faith to the fact that this is America? "People" come to this country everyday with nothing and make a better life for themselves. So we can't we that are here, and have lived here our whole lives do better. How is your job? Do you love it or are you one of the "most people"?

  1. It is America, but so many have bought into the lie that you need an education and a good "secure" job. As we have seen during these past few years, there is no job security!! However, people limit themselves, they are either too scared or too lazy to start something on there own. The main problem though is that people are scared they are gonna fail. Unfortunately, they will fail because that's all they see. If you ask any successful person, they will tell you that before they got success, they visualized success!

  2. I am actually working in my dream job. I have always wanted to be the lean leader for a business. My current role has me leading a $1B business unit in it's lean journey! How exciting! My whole job revolves around working to make other people's work better.

There are parts of my job that I would probably change if given the chance, and I am the type that will try to make those changes anyway. But overall, I would say that I am in my dream job.
